Born in Evanston, Illinois, Monce Love is a proud Mexican American actress and singer-songwriter, daughter of an African American blues singer and a Mexican mother from San Luis Potosí. Her rich musical roots and dramatic life journey have shaped her into a powerful artist with a voice that carries both soul and story.
Early Life & Inspiration
Monce’s parents met in a story worthy of a film: her mother, newly arrived in the U.S., was greeted every day by a tall, strong man with a seductive voice who would say “¡Buenos días señorita!”—a phrase that turned into friendship, and eventually, a passionate romance.
From her father, a blues singer, Monce inherited her deep, soulful voice. After his passing and her mother’s illness, Monce and her siblings were sent to San Luis Potosí, Mexico. There, her talent blossomed. As a child, she sang entire repertoires of Selena, Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, and Ana Bárbara, effortlessly switching between high and low tones. Her family quickly recognized her gift and showcased her at every gathering.
Musical Training & Return to the U.S.
After her mother’s passing, Monce returned to the U.S. to finish high school. She joined the church choir, where she learned vocal discipline and technique. Her return to Chicago opened new doors—she auditioned for reality shows and entered karaoke contests across the city, steadily refining her voice.
She later studied singing, acting, stage movement, and interpretation under Maestro Jano Fuentes, aiming to break into musical theater as well.

Infancia e Inspiración
La historia de amor de sus padres parece sacada de una película: su madre, recién llegada a Estados Unidos, era saludada diariamente por un hombre alto, fuerte y de voz seductora con la frase: “¡Buenos días señorita!”. Con el tiempo, esa frase se convirtió en una amistad y, meses después, en un tórrido romance que dio fruto al nacimiento de Monce.
Su padre, cantante de blues, le heredó la potencia y el color de su voz. Tras su fallecimiento y el deterioro de salud de su madre, Monce y sus hermanos fueron enviados a vivir a San Luis Potosí con la familia materna. Allí, desde pequeña, Monce cantaba todo el repertorio de Selena, Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, Ana Bárbara, entre otras, destacándose por su habilidad para dominar tanto tonos graves como agudos. Su familia reconoció su talento y la impulsó desde entonces.
Formación Musical y Regreso a EE.UU.
Tras la muerte de su madre, Monce regresó a su país natal para terminar la preparatoria. Su gran rango vocal le permitió formar parte del coro de la iglesia, donde desarrolló técnica y disciplina.
Ya instalada nuevamente en Chicago, comenzó a hacer audiciones —incluyendo reality shows— y a participar en concursos de karaoke por toda la ciudad y sus alrededores, perfeccionando día a día su voz.
Decidida a profesionalizarse, ingresó a la Escuela de Teatro del Maestro Jano Fuentes, donde estudió canto, expresión corporal, interpretación y actuación, con la intención de combinar su talento vocal con el teatro musical.
